Google Earth: a Circle of People

Comments

Easy, peasy. A mob of expat Aussies having a game of two up on Anzac Day.
Red Rover Red Rover...
They could be doing the Hora.
Maybe somebody made a Leyden Jar and they are all getting ready to shock themselves. That's what I would be doing.
[this is good]
It is probably a recovery group doing the Lord's Prayer.

No, they are doing an ancient ritual which is to summon the "Gods Of Vegas" to bestow upon them luck whilst gaming.

heh -My younger brother just installed Google Earth, and he LOVES it!!!

:-)

-He's currently looking for nude beaches to zero in on!

What you say sounds like English...

Red Rover Red Rover...

Wouldn't they be in two lines instead of a circle? Looks more like they're getting ready to do the Hokey Pokey.

Not familiar with the Hora. Is it like Duck Duck Goose?

Hmm, that sounds like a plausible explanation. I hope they're not passing out coolaid.

I know if I were running a recovery group, I'd have us do our affirmations in the middle of the street. They're going to need more recovery after a car comes barrelling around that corner.

Hours of entertainment!

Well, I suppose you could play Red Rover in a circle and divide it down a radius or something for two teams.
A UFO swooped down, hovered for a second and deposited 37 abductees on to the street like giant circle-shaped Pez dispenser.
That's thinking outside the two parallel lines!

Ooh, I like it! It is in Nevada, after all!

Yeah, the things some people do for entertainment... -He's funny that way!
lol. Half of them are suicidal anyway. wtf
I'M A PLAY-GROUND-BREAKER!
People? Are you sure? I thought they looked like giant Q-Tips.
Giant Q-tips? That's pretty much what people look like in Google Earth. Makes you wonder why anyone bothers looking for the nude beaches. :->
So did anyone ever figure out what they were doing? For real? I like the UFO thing myself. LOL!
No. I got it from Google Earth Hacks, but no one has commented on it to shed light. My best guess is it's a religious think - big prayer circle. I still don't know why they would choose to do it in the street.
How did they know precisely when the satellite was overhead at that point? Did I miss the press release?
Um, I don't think they knew they were getting their picture taken from space. I assume they were doing something else, and the satellite imagery just happened to capture them doing... whatever it was they were doing. You can find some very strange things looking through the Google maps.
