Movie: Tenebre
Strix calls her dark blue PT Cruiser "Tenebre," which means "Shadows" in French. Because of this, when I saw that there was an old movie called Tenebre, I told her to put it on our Netflix list.
This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The acting is terrible, the soundtrack laughably 80s, and a ten year old could have written a better script.
What's really disturbing is that this movie has 7.1 stars out of 10 on the Internet Movie Database. How? Why? On God's green Earth? Speechless.
Reading some of the user-written reviews (some of them giving the movie ten stars!) it appears that many of the people who reviewed it were fans of Italian horror movie producer Dario Argento, and loved this simply because he did it. It's not, technically a horror movie, though it was safe to say that I was thoroughly horrified.
We watched this when my Mom was here visiting, though, and it was so bad that we laughed... hard... all the way through the movie. The movie wasn't supposed to be funny, but if it was it would have been the comedy of year in 1982.

Killer frogs?! I imagine Sam Elliot's kicking himself for that one still.
On a side note, I'm a big fan of MST3K and bad movies like this make me long for the days when that show came on. I have several of them on DVD and need to get the rest before they stop making them.
