Poem: Spider Hoodlums
My good friend 'Chelle is asking people for spider-related poetry, so here is my entry:
Spider Hoodlums
Have you ever seen a spider
With piercings and ink
And a tiny little motorcycle?
It's not as cool as you'd think.
Miniscule switchblade,
Strapped to his furry little leg,
Smoking cigarettes
Since he was just an egg.
Standing on the table corner,
Shaking down the flies.
Scoping out the female spiders
With his multi-faceted eyes.
Leather jacket with eight little armholes
And on it a saying quite crass
Emblazoned across the back of it:
"Eight Legs With Which to Kick Your Ass."
Comments
This is my favorite of the two you did. -Really creative!
Personally, I don't really care for Haiku... I guess 'cause they're too short. This style is more my speed.
I might want to illustrate this poem if you would allow it?
I would love it if you would illustrate it. :->
Why, Tink, did you want the poor lonely lady spiders to not have any company? Of course there are boy spiders.
This poem is inspired by the big, tough looking spiders in my house that are so unintimidated that they don't even try to get away from me before I squash them. One actually took the newspaper away from me and hit me back last week.
actually, if lady spiders are at all like lady humans, i'm sure they could find a way to not be so lonely without the help of any boy spiders.
(grin)
all spiders are born bisexual. didn't u know that?
